  1. I have been to the Crater of Diamonds State Park. You do actually get to “stake your claim” and dig for diamonds. While I was there, someone found a yellow diamond. Yes, people find diamonds. I will go back someday.

  2. The Crater of Diamonds State Park is in Arkansas.

  3. West Mineral, Kansas. That is where Big Brutus, a giant steam shovel sits – just waiting for you to venture close enough… We went here when the kids were little…they wanted to climb to the top, but due to safety issues (which I hear are still a concern), they could not. Still, the tour and facts and museum attached to the shovel are really cool. You can even buy souvenirs.

The World\’s Most Scenic Toilet on Mount Rainier, Washington.

24 Hour Church of Elvis, Portland, OR. http://www.24hourchurchofelvis.com

    Voodoo Doughnuts, Portland, OR. http://www.voodoodoughnut.com

Peabody Ducks at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN. Bill & I went there on our way to get hitched in NO. Cute little ducks doing their nightly parade down the red carpet to the fountain. Quirky and fun.

  6. Bill says:

Corn Palace in Mitchell S,D.–A PALACE BUILT OUT OF CORN!
